New track from The Secret
Well, this
is a turnaround for the books. Make no mistake about it, Italy’s The Secret are
a great band and 2010’s Solve Et Coagula was a solid LP of their BM informed metallic
hardcore but the band has been busy at work on a new full-length named Agnus
Dei, the title track of which is streaming below (courtesy of Brooklyn Vegan),
and it’s proving to be work well done. First off, this is heavy and fucking
relentless with an intro of discordance soon giving way to some searing black
metal riffing and eventual thrashing d-beats, all the while the vocals are a malaise
of unholy screams and screeches from vocalist Marco Coslovich. ‘Agnus Dei’
marks an astounding introduction to the new record by The Secret, have a listen HERE and catch an eyeful of the artwork too.
