The stunning
Japanese instrumental rock collective Mono will release their new album, For My
Parents, in September, the much anticipated follow-up to 2009’s Hymn to the
Immortal Wind. This week the band released the first taster of the album in the
shape of ‘Dream Odyssey’, a suitable title for the band’s lengthy dreamy
soundscapes and as expected, the track is rife with lush string arrangements
and spectral guitars that weave together for the quintessential Mono sound. Pitchfork
